Waiting for it to come out of the oven, but the taste I had pre-baked is delicious! I’ve got into shredding cheeses and making different cheese blends so I used that, as well as some Velveeta, and 1/4 wedge of garlic and herb Boursin I needed to use up. Added some seasoned bread crumbs with melted butter on top. Pairing with grilled chicken!

Haven’t made it yet but have all the ingredients and don’t want my broccoli to go bad. Could this be done in a rice cooker. I’m doing it this way first.

I steamed my broccoli with vegetable broth; and I added a touch of bouillon to the rice. I do this when cooking these items anyways. The recipe is great to me.

great recipe overall but I found that I couldn’t taste the garlic at all. granted, I love garlic, so maybe it just wasn’t enough for my tastes. next time I’ll be sure to add some fresh minced garlic while sautéing the onions or double the garlic powder.

I mainly looked at this recipe for the cook time and to get a few ideas for what to do in general since I haven’t made broccoli rice and cheese casserole in a long time. So I can’t say my review is based upon your recipe, though it does look good. I did notice a lot of people didn’t have much in terms of taste or burst of flavor and I was going to suggest that instead of using just plain white rice, you could substitute it with one of the flavored knox rice’s. I know that always helps with the flavor pallet for me. also, a cheese topping is great, but you could also add a breadcrumb topping as well, or both!
