Crock Pot Corn on the Cob is the perfect summer side dish for all of your meals! It takes the fresh deliciousness of corn on the cob and makes preparation basically effortless! With only a few minutes of prep, you will have a fantastic fresh side that your friends and family will love!
Summer is a fantastic time of year! There are so many fun activities, opportunities to gather with friends and loved ones, and so much fresh produce! I love to make use of all the fresh food in season for the recipes I prepare, but really, I would much prefer to be outdoors than in the kitchen!
For as long as I remember, this has been one of those recipes I turn to when I need to prepare something incredible, but I don’t have a lot of time to prep. My crock pot saves the day and does all of the work of cooking up this fresh as can be corn on the cob! I don’t have to worry about watching a boiling pot or draining it. This corn is ready when you are, tender crisp, juicy, sweet and full of flavor.
I love that this corn is already buttered and seasoned when it comes out of the crock pot so that you can dig in immediately to the perfect ear of corn! If you have never considered cooking corn on the cob in the crock pot, let me tell you that it is really the way to go for incredible corn!

While I love traditional butter, salt, and pepper on my corn, this can easily be seasoned with loads of different flavor combinations! If you’re looking for some amazing ways to season your corn, Monica over at The Yummy Life has some awesome seasoning ideas. If you prefer a grilled corn on the cob, you’re going to want to visit Ashley over at Center Cut Cook because her method fails proof!
So easy and delicious ! Had corn on the cob for Easter dinner ! Cooked exactly as recipe stated, no changes , perfect crisp corn from the crockpot !
Can you cook on low? N if so how long?
I would recommend cooking on low for 4-6 hours or until heated through. Hope this helps!
Love how well this turns out!
Great recipe I might have needed to add some more seasonings to it but I’ll give it a 4 this time would say 4.5 but I’ll review it again once I make it again.
Glad you enjoyed it, William. We would love to hear what seasoning combinations end up being your favorite!
This did not work for me. The corn stuck to your teeth and seemed somewhat hard. Did I do something wrong?
Oh no, I am sorry to hear that Nola! If they still felt hard they may have been undercooked. If your cobs were on the larger side they may have needed a little additional time to fully cook.
Would it get done on low?
We’ve only tried the recipe as written. I think it would work, but will take longer to cook. Let us know if you try it Karen!
I was hesitant to try, but I got a great deal on corn and it is hot outside (which means I don’t want to boil water if I don’t have to). My husband was nervous, but it WORKED! The corn was great! This will be my method from now on unless the corn is bought or given to us last minute. Thank You!
So glad you enjoyed it, Jessica! :)
I make a version of your crock-pot corn on the cob that uses minced garlic instead of olive oil. it will rock your world.
That sounds delicious Big Jim! We will have to give that a try.
FANTASTIC!!!
Thanks Caleb!
I came upon this recipe while searching for a way to deal with corn that didn’t require boiling (nothing wrong with it, just didn’t have a pot large enough for anything beyond 2 half cobs) and my family loved it!
That’s awesome Will, so glad we could help!
I’ve never seen a recipe for slow cooker corn on the cob! Does the corn stay crisp or does it get a softer…mushy texture? Thanks for your time and recipes…love them! Anxious to hear about this one!
When we made it the corn stayed crisp and juicy Gina! We hope you enjoy it!
My first attempt stayed plenty crisp. Currently working on round 2.
Love your recipes
Thanks Barbara!
Great recipe, easy potluck item!
I would assume there would me no difference if I cut each cob in halves or thirds?
Cook time would remain the same if you cut each cobb. :)
Just another exciting way to Crock up some awesome Summer corn on cob for family poolside gatherings!! This will surprise our incredible “Grill Chef!!” Take some time off his preps!!
I don’t have olive oil anything else I can use instead
You can brush them with a little bit of melted butter.
Looks great! How much butter do you normally use?
Usually around ⅔ cup. It does melt to the bottom so I try to toss around the corn just before serving too.
