Air Fryer Hamburgers are a fast way to get a quick meal on the table!
Juicy hamburgers, cheeseburgers, or sliders in the Air Fryer mean less muss and fuss with all of the flavor.
Simple All Beef Patty
Pan-frying has nothing homemade Air Fryer hamburger patties! Even frozen patties turn out tasty with just a little extra cook time!
BEEF Just like our favorite hamburger recipe, we like to use fresh ground beef. An 80/20 blend has the right amount of fat that keeps the patties juicy without too much grease runoff. Try ground turkey for turkey burgers!
SEASONING Add in salt & pepper with a dash of onion and garlic powder. Fresh onion and garlic don’t have enough time to cook so we opt for powders in this recipe. Or try our signature Hamburger Seasoning!
BBQ SAUCE is optional but it helps with caramelization and tastes great. We prefer homemade barbecue sauce.
How To Air Fry Hamburgers
Air Fryer hamburgers are super easy and quick to make!
- Combine all of the ingredients and form into 4 equally sized patties!
PRO TIP: For perfectly evenly cooked burgers press your thumb into the center of each patty so it doesn’t swell in the center during cooking.
- Put prepared hamburger patties in a single layer in the Air Fryer basket. Cook according to the recipe below, about 9-12 minutes depending on thickness.
- Top with cheese if desired, cook 1 more minute before serving.
Got Fries?
If you’d like to serve air fryer french fries with your burgers, cook the fries first and set them aside. Once the burgers have cooked, add the fries back to the basket and cook at 400°F for about 3-4 minutes while you top your burger. Alternatively, oven fries are great served with these burgers.

Make a DIY burger bar by arranging lettuce, onions, tomatoes, and pickles on a serving platter so everyone can help themselves!
- Zesty: Jalapenos, green chilies, sauerkraut, Chipotle Aioli or a Homemade Garlic Aioli
- Savory: Roasted red bell peppers, fried egg (so good!), bacon, sautéed or air fried mushrooms

Cooked 3 burgers 92% lean 4 1/2” diameter 3/4” in thick.
Set fryer to 375 and 11 minutes cooking flipped after 6 minutes. Burgers were medium rare.
Used a Ninja Foodie Smart XL 4qt.
There is nothing on here that says what the temperature needs to be at for the hamburgers to cook. Maybe put that on there.
Hi Jordyn, you can find this in step 3 of the recipe.
3. Preheat the air fryer to 370°F. Add patties in a single layer to the basket.
They were delicious. My family loved them. The ingredients were so simple, but the combination was delicious.
I made these for dinner tonight. We really like the addition of the BBQ sauce. Even though I used 92% lean ground beef, they still turned out juicy. Next time, I may try a couple dashes of Worcestershire sauce, as another reviewer suggested. Great recipe!
Followed the instructions exactly and these came out PERFECT! Thank you for such clear instructions
Didn’t mention at what temperature.
You can find this information in step 3: Preheat the air fryer to 370°F. I hope this helps!
Hi, Can you please let me know what brand/model air fryer you are using? It looks like a bigger one, is it 8qt? Thank you!
Hi Valerie, I use a 5.8QT Cosori Air Fryer.
I made these burgers tonight with the exception of bbq sauce (we didn’t have any) so I added about 5 splashes of Worcestershire sauce into the meat mixture instead. They were delicious and juicy. I’m barely learning how to do temperature conversions for air frying, so this recipe helped me tremendously.
Make mine this way and never had a problem. Fix my fries with your air fryer recipe, too, Holly…my favorite way to fix both! Quick and easy peasy.
I am totally in love with my air fryer and use it for everything I can. My stove is collecting dust.
I am so glad you loved this recipe Susie! I love my air fryer so much too!
